If you read the first Claws post, you know the basics. Former feral, showed up in a storm, never left, laser enthusiast. What I didn't fully cover is the other side of Claws — the unhinged side. This post is about that.
This is her telling you she could end you if she wanted to. She just chooses not to. For now.
The bunny situation
Claws hunts. This is not news — she's a former feral and the instinct never went away. What she does with the results, however, is where it gets interesting. She doesn't just leave them somewhere obvious. She hides them. Specifically, she hides dead half-bunnies in places you will only discover at the worst possible moment.
I don't know what to tell you. She's thoughtful.
The ivy incident
We have ivy growing up the staircase. Normal house feature. Except Claws decided at some point that this was actually a climbing frame and has been observed hanging upside down from it like she's auditioning for a nature documentary. No context. No explanation. Just upside down, looking completely unbothered.
Filing the VAT
At some point there was paperwork out. Important paperwork. Claws assessed the situation, determined that the correct course of action was to fling it across the room with her paws, and proceeded to do exactly that. Every single page. Systematically. We now refer to this as "filing the VAT." She has never been apologetic about it.
Look at her. Completely relaxed in her garden. Absolutely zero indication that this is the same animal that committed the Easter incident. Genuinely unbothered. Green eyes. Plotting.
In conclusion
Claws is a sweetheart and also a menace and both of these things are equally true at all times. She will sit on you and purr and she will also leave biological gifts for the neighbours. There is no contradiction here. That's just Claws.
Flopped out on the garden steps, completely at peace, not a care in the world. 10/10. No notes.
